Why group therapy is really important:
Sometimes the situations we experience in life leave us feeling isolated and alone. While friends and family are really important support systems, it can be hard to speak to someone in your family or even your friends without feeling judged, criticized or dismissed.
It’s really important to understand, when having your feelings, that A) no, it’s not “just you”, and B) that you are not alone.
Meeting other people who struggle with the same things you struggle with is validating and supportive. In a safe atmosphere, you will realize that you are not alone and that the things that you struggle with are normal. Group therapy allows you to be heard and seen in ways that you may not have experienced in your lives.
With the support of the group, you will learn, grow and find support in places you may not have expected.
